New Postage stamp: Postage stamp depicted bird endemic to Myanmar

The Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Transport and Communications will issue a new postage stamp (worth K200 each) at 9:30 am on 2nd December 2022, depicting a bird called Jerdon’s Minivet which is endemic to Myanmar recorded and given remark by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.

Aung Ko, Postage Stamp Collector said "There are 9 species of birds only found in our country. Among them, White-throated babbler is the first postage stamp. The second one is Hooded Treepie and today is the third one Jerdon’s Minivet is issued. The Bird postage stamps have been issued before if those species of bird endemic to Myanmar may extinct."

There are 2 types of postage stamp; special issue and Grade 3. This postage stamp includes in a Grade 3 standard. But that wasn’t normal Grade 3. It’s just a special Grade 3 standard. The all stamps only related to Myanmar is called Special issue. The original aim of postage stamp is only use for sending letters. Nowadays, most of the postage stamp issuing countries’ aim are not using postage stamp in sending letter. They referred to cherish collectors. As a special program, the postage stamp purchased at the Central Post Office and the date will be sealed on the bought postage stamps.

Postage Stamp Collectors said "We have a passion to collect postage stamp since we’re young and still to date. We have collected all sold postage stamps. We bought and collected the postage stamps selling from state for our generations."

The new postage stamp will be sold at the Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw, the General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay and other post offices in each region and state.
