New Year Activities: Paritta reciting and respect paying

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement organized a Paritta Reciting Ceremony on the Myanmar New Year Day.
The congregation led by Union Minister DrSoe Win received the Five Precepts from the Koe Kham Gyi Monastery Sayadaw of Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana. They also listened to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha. This was followed by donation of cash and offertories, sharing the merits gained.
On the same day, the Respect Paying Ceremony was held at GarunaKabar Home for the Aged and cash and kind assistance were provided to 184 elder persons. The ceremony aims for the elder persons to have peace of mind and pleasant during the time of auspicious New Year.
