Olympic flag lands in Los Angeles four years ahead of LA 28

One day after the Paris 2024 closing ceremony, the Olympic flag arrived in Los Angeles four years ahead of the 2028 Olympics.

As the Paris Olympics came to a close, the Olympic flag was handed to LA Mayor Karen Bass. Her arrival marks the start of a four-year countdown to LA28. Tom Cruise brought the Olympic flag to LA from Paris in the most Tom Cruise way possible Sunday during the Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony.

Los Angeles Mayor brought the official flag back to Southern California by more traditional means -- a Delta flight that landed early Monday afternoon at LAX. She exited the plane alongside LA 28 chair Casey Wasserman, Olympic diver Delaney Schnell and skateboarder Tate Carew.
