Opening of hotel service trainings: MGY CM attended and gave an opening speech

The opening ceremony of three hotel service trainings co-organized by Magway Region Hotel and Tourism Department, Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Magway Zone) was held at Win Hotel in Magway Township in the morning on 12th August and attended by Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and Region Ministers, departmental officials.

In his opening speech, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin said that the tourist arrival at Magway Region increased at 28% from January to July 2024 and the rate of accommodation at hotel, motel and guest houses rose at 21%.Magway Region enriched with natural sources that can be created tourist destinations. Based on those natural sources, many tourism trips such as Ecotourism, pilgrim tourism, adventure tourism, volunteer tourism, sport tourism can be developed, especially regarding with the Shwe-Satt-Taw trip which is a land of Magway Region, Ecotourism, Agrotourism, pilgrim tourism can be developed.  

Next, the Director of Magway Region Hotel and Tourism Department clarified the matters on the training, Region Chief Minister handed NSSA certificate of honor and the training instructor explained the subjects to be given in the training.

A total of 61 trainees will attend three hotel service trainings including Front office training, House Keeping and Food & Beverage (Service) for three weeks, it’s reported.
