Pan Khin Project: 90% completed for Issuing NRCs as of May 31 2022

Department of National Registration and Citizenship is implementing Pan Khin project for those who do not have National Registration cards yet in the country.

It is planned to issue by calculating for over 3.4 million people who haven’t NRCs, but so far, it has been issued for over 400,000 people without household lists while there is no calculation for the number of people without household lists yet. So, people do not have household lists are urged to apply NRCs through the respective administration offices, said the Director General of the Department of National Registration and Citizenship.

Till 31st May 2022, the completion of the issuance of National Registration Cards is over 3 million (90%).

And the completion of the issuance of the household lists for over 416,600 households, it was issued for over 12,700 displaced households without doing household lists at least once.

Director General, Department of National Registration and Citizenship, Htein Win said "As of 31st May 2022, completion of issuing NRC cards is over 3 million and is 90%. And over 400,000 household lists were issued nationwide, from there, it was also issued for over 12,000 displaced households without doing household lists at least once. Especially in Yangon Region, issuance is the most for those who do not have Form 66 as well as displaced people and Kayin State too."

It is learnt that, Yangon Region is the area where many households without doing household lists at least once are living.  The areas with existing most displaced people are Yangon Region and Kayin State. Also, Yangon Region and Shan State are the area of most issuing NRC cards.

Issuing National Registration Cards and Household lists under the Pan Khin Project are planned to conduct till 3rd November, 2022.
