Paying homage to Tooth Relic pagoda: SAC Chairman paid homage to sacred Tooth Relic Pagoda

Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife and relevant officials, visited the sacred Tooth Relic Pagoda in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region on Monday morning.

They were warmly welcomed by the Pagoda Board of Trustees. Following their arrival, they paid homage to pagoda by offering flowers, water, and oil lamps and also paid homage to the Buddha's left upper tooth relic enshrined in the pagoda.

The Senior General conducted a thorough inspection of the pagoda, assessing its maintenance and sustainability. He instructed that measures be taken to ensure the pagoda’s cleanliness and emphasized the need for All-Round renovations.

Subsequently, the Senior General and party visited the Presiding Patron of Maha Vijitayon Monastery, State Ovadacariya Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Vicarindabhavamisa. There, they inquired about the Sayadaw's health, addressed his needs and offered donations of bird-nest, supplementary food and cash.
