'Peace Boat' arrives in Venezuela to see daily life

A ship belonging to an international nongovernmental organization with more than 1,200 passengers on board arrived at the Venezuelan port on Thursday.

The "Peace Boat," which is the name of the vessel as well as the Japan-based NGO, was welcomed by La Guaira State Governor as it docked at the port. One of the passengers who disembarked the ship in La Guaira said she came to Venezuela to learn about the country, meet its people and see the natural environment. A ship belonging to an international nongovernmental organization aims to promote peace, human rights and sustainability around the world.
