President Yoon to promote EXPO bid in France

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon hee left for France on Monday to promote South Korea's bid to host the 2030 World Expo in the city of Busan.

Yoon will attend a general assembly of the Bureau International Expositions (BIE), the international body in charge of overseeing the World Expo, on June 20 and 21, with an English speech planned for South Korea's presentation the first day. Yoon is also set to hold a summit with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders will likely discuss international security issues, including the Indo-Pacific Strategy.
