Religious Event: Senior General attends the Waso Robe Offering Ceremony

Families of the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army, Navy, Air) held an auspicious Waso robe offering ceremony at the Anawrahta Hall of the office of Commander in Chief (Army) on Wednesday morning.

First, Chairman of the State Administration Council, Commander in Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing paid homage to the Buddha Image at the Anawrahta Hall and offered Emerald alms bowl, fruits, flowers, water and oil lamps.

Then, the congregation observed 9 precepts administered by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery and listened to Myitta Paritta delivered by the Sayadaws.

Then, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife offered Waso robe and offertories to the Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadaw. This was followed by donating of Waso robes and offertories to the members of Sangha by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and congregation.

Then, the congregation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife listened to the sermons delivered by Secretary of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Masoyein Taik Thit Presiding Sayadaw and shared the merits gained. After the ceremony, the congregation offered day meals to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
