Security tightened ahead of G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting in Japan

Security was tight on Friday in Nagoya, the city in central Japan hosting a G20 foreign minister's meeting. South Korean Foreign Minister has yet to confirm attendance at the meeting which takes place ahead of a scheduled expiry of the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) on Saturday.

During the two-day meeting, foreign ministers are planning to discuss topics ranging from enhancing free trade and global governance to realizing sustainable development goals. The ministers will meet for dinner later on Friday, with actual sessions slated for Saturday.
