Satellite internet has transformed the daily life of Brazilian students from a school in a remote community from the Amazonas capital of Manaus. After a Starlink terminal was installed at the state school in September 2022, 150 students from seven nearby communities have been able to access the internet.

Starlink, a division of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has almost 4,000 low-orbit satellites across the skies, enabling people in remote corners of the Amazon to access a high-speed internet connection.Besides school-aged students, the school also receives distance-learning undergraduate students.
