Surprise reactions to Hamilton leaving Mercedes for Ferrari

People interviewed in Rome are 'surprised' following the Mercedes announcement that the Seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton will switch to Ferrari next year.

Jack Bilton, English tourist said "I think it’s a bit strage considering Hamilton has been with the same team for so long. And also the recent performance of Ferrari is a bit up and down. And I think everybody knows that Hamilton is looking for his mast championship before he retires from Formula One so I don’t know.

Strange. I think he obviously sees the potential in Ferrari, so good luck to him. " Hamilton is chasing a record eighth title which would take him past F1 icon Michael Schumacher, whose seven titles included five in succession with Ferrari from 2000 to 2004.
