Thingyan in Magway: Peaceful celebration of traditional water festival

In Magway Region, people peacefully enjoyed the Water Festival at the Thingyan Pandals along the Strand Road on the Atat Day on Tuesday.
Chief Minister U Tint Lwin visited the pandals, together with concerned officials, participating in the celebration. They also enjoyed the performances of Yein dance troupes as well as songs and dances by the vocalists. Cash rewards were also presented to the participants.
Magway Region Government organized the traditional Thingyan Festival, with the participation of 7 pandals. 19 Yein dance troupes took part in the competition, in addition to the performance by the artists with Thingyan songs and dances. Moreover, charity feasts were also served to the all comers daily during Thingyan period.
