Tour in Bago: Meeting with officials and visiting the ancient town

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Bago Region Government officials at the Regional Government Office on Friday.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win reported on the efforts for boosting agriculture produces, livestock breeding, education and health sectors.

The Prime Minister instructed for achieving export quality products through research programs, while extending oil crops cultivation for local sufficiency. The Prime Minister also explained the government’s efforts for achieving development, peace and stability in the country by laying down the policies and objectives. He reiterated the plans for accurate voters list through population and housing census, successful holding of the election to hand over the state’s duty to the winning government and organizing the hluttaw meetings.

The Prime Minister also discussed for boosting production to export the quality products, achieving increased foreign incomes and economic development. He also discussed for education promotion efforts, better health care services, rule of law and public security measures. He called for cooperation of all concerned personnel in an effort for development of the nation.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister and party visited the Kanbawzathadi Golden Palace and observed the displayed items including excavated teak pillars and renovation of ancient palace. He instructed for detailed implementation of the renovation works, without damaging the ancient utensils while prioritizing for long term durability. They later visited Hanthawady old city wall and moat, and instructed for systematic conservation measures.
