Tourism industry: Meeting of Bago Region tourism industry work comm. held

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win addressed the regional tourism industry work committee meeting held at the Tawwin Hantha meeting hall of the office of Bago Region Government in the morning on 23rd September.

In his address, the chief minister said that due to the results of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister’s trip to Russia, apart from the regular visitors, the entrepreneurs and tourists from Russian are expected to pay visit the country.

As the monsoon season will end and the fresh season will set in soon, the archeological cultural heritages attracted to the local and international visitors, the invaluable historic sites and the natural scenic beauties should be prepared for the visitors to uplift the socio-economic life of the local people.

For the development of tourism industry, the preparations with the new ideas and perspectives should be implemented. Next, the head officer of region directorate of tourism administration clarified licensing application for a new hotel so also renewing tour guide license and extension of 10 hotel licenses.

After a round of discussions by the committee members and attendees, the Chief Minister highlighted follow-up implementations in line with the law and by-laws. Afterward, the chief minister and officials provided rice and edible oil for 357 staff members and security staffs from the Bago Region General Administration Department.
