Train Resuming: Taunggyi-Ban Yin Trains Resume Their Operations

Taunggyi-Ban Yin trip No. 153 up train and No.154 down train on Taunggyi-SaikKhaung road section resumed their operations and the re-running ceremony was held at Taunggyi railway station on Thursday.
Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun gave a speech and Managing Director of Myanma Railways reported resuming of Taunggyi-Ban Yin train. Later, the Chief Minister, the Commander of Eastern Command, the State Transportation Minister, the Chairman of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone and the Managing of Myanma Railways formally opened the train that will run on Taunggyi-Ban Yin railroad section.
The Chief Minister and officials then cordially greeted the passengers who take a ride on the train and presented gifts. The train running on Taunggyi-SaikKhaung rail-road section was temporarily suspended during COVID around the second week of February 2021. Now, the guidance of the Head of State and the requests of local ethnic people, Myanma Railways has repaired to ensure the durability of the rail-road and have arranged for the passengers to be able to travel safely and comfortably.
Depending on the needs of the people, arrangement will be made to be able to run up to SaikKhaung that is the end of destination station.No. 153 passenger and cargo up train departs from Taunggyi Station at 2:30 p.m. and arrives at Ban Yin Station at 4:50 pm.No. (154) Passenger and cargo down train departs from Bang Yin Station at 5:30 am and arrives at Taunggyi Station at 8 am.
