Viet Nam EARNS 6.7 BLN USD FROM AGRO-FORESTRY-FISHERY EXPORT OVER 8 MONTHS

Việt Nam’s export-import turnover for agro-forestry and aquatic products has totaled nearly 60 billion USD so far this year, with a trade surplus of 6.7 billion USD, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development report. Several commodity groups posted increased export value, including fruit and vegetables, while rice and coffee saw a strong increase of 11.5% and 8.5%, respectively.

China, the US, and Japan remained the top three importers of Việt Nam. The ministry has urged localities to regulate production plans, boost exports, and step up negotiations and market access for official exports while expanding export markets to tap market opportunities fully.
