Zambia launches US$10b Green Growth Strategy

The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment of Zambia has launched the National Green Growth Strategy to help the country transition into a resilient, low carbon and socially inclusive economy. The total budget for implementing the National Green Growth Strategy is estimated at more than US$10 billion which will be generated from both domestic and international resources.

Speaking during the launch in Lusaka, Green Economy and Environment Minister said the Green Growth Strategy will serve as the country’s blueprint for meeting its ambitious economic development targets while minimizing the negative environmental impacts.
