COVID-19 Update: 1,818 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On September 22

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 1,818 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 20,178 patients within 24 hours. 64 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,159 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 451,663 with 17,266 deaths and 404,479 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:06pm CEST, 22 September 2021, there have been over 229 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.7 million deaths.
