1st meeting of Working Group: MIFER Union Minister attended the meeting

Regarding with the implementation of Memorandum of Interaction signed between Eurasian Economic Commission and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 15th June, 2023, the first meeting of Working Group on Interaction as well as elaborating a joint action plan and related program were held at the Horizon Lake View Hotel at 9 AM on April 9.

First, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw and the Charge d'affaires of the  embassy of Russian Federation in Myanmar Mr. KLABUKOV Pavel extended greetings.

Next, Mr. Sergey Glaziev, Member of the Board – Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) clarified regarding with the implementations for the integration of Eurasian Economic Commission and the Great Eurasia partnership cooperation from the technological, economical, organizational and financial perspectives an the enterpreneurs from the members countries of Eurasian Economic Commission.

In the afternoon, the first meeting of Working Group on Interaction under the Memorandum of Interaction signed by Eurasian Economic Commission and Myanmar was held.

At the meeting, joint-Chairs of Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw and Mr. Sergey Glaziev delivered the opening remarks. After that, the representatives from the Eurasia Economic Commission and the ministries and organizations discussed as per the sector.

Then, the Joint-Chairs approved the joint-statement of first meeting and date and venue of the second meeting of Working Group on Interaction.

The Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw hosted welcoming dinner for a delegation led by Mr. Sergey Glaziev, Member of the Board – Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) at MGallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on 8th April.
