33rd anniversary of IPRD: MOI Union Minister attended the celebration

The 33rd anniversary celebration of the Information and Public Relations Department was held at the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw at 10:00 AM in the morning on 6th February.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung, Heads of Departments, Regions and States Head Officers, Outstanding employees who won awards in competitions and trainings, officials in person and the deputy directors from district offices via online attended the ceremony.

First, a documentary video presented by the Department of Public Information and Public Relations, “Unity and Friendship Together." was screened.

In his words of honor, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said that the Department of Information and Public Relations was able to stand strong like this because of the unity among the personnel in leading role and the staff members who are serving their responsibilities dutifully.

The Department of Information and Public Relations is a large network constituted with 435 offices of Region, State, District, Township and Town and it is serving the three main tasks of the Ministry of Information such as providing information, imparting education and presenting entertainment.  

Similarly, it proudly participates in national level ceremonies by fulfilling responsibilities, in order for the public to know the correct information, the Department distributes the text messages as well as television news from Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Telegram and MOI Website, as well as from MOI Application and mtube, etc.

Next, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn presented the appointment letters promoting to the Director position.

Then, the permanent secretary, directors General and Managing Directors presented cash awards to the outstanding personnel who won the medals of honor, prizes in the competitions and trainings.   

Next, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint presented the first, second, third prizes of district-level news coverage award and the District Offices which received the special prizes.

The Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn awarded the excellent work performance prizes to the Township level, District level and Regions and States Level offices.

Director U Soe Nyunt Shwe from Shan State Office expressed words of thanks on half of the prize winners. Afterward, Union Minister, Deputy Minister, permanent secretary and heads of departments posed for the documentary group photo together with the prize winners.

Then, the Union Minister enjoyed the lunch together with the attendees, it’s leant.
