Agricultural Development: Magway CM met with agricultural farmers

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin encouraged harvesting monsoon paddy strain (Ayeyarmin) in Taungdwingyi Township, inspected road accessible Yangon-Mandalay Highway in Inn Pat Lat village in Sinpaungwe Township and met with farmers who are going to produce fertilizer with cooperatives system in Chaung Kauk village on Wednesday.

First, the Chief Minister and party observed harvesting Ayeyarmin monson paddy model plot in Taungdwingyi Township and met with the farmers. There, Township Administrator explained about agricultural production in the region and the Chief Minister in cooperation with concerned departments supplemented necessary matters upon the reports of farmers for the needs of regional development.

And the Chief Minister called the farmers to put efforts into cultivating triple crops per year choosing good quality high yielding strains and knowing agricultural knowledge as it is being the country’s main economy. After that he provided sunflower seeds and sisal hemp seeds to the farmers.

From there, region chief minister and party arrived at road accessible Yangon-Mandalay Highway in Inn Pat Lat village in Sinpaungwe Township where director of Rural Development Department reported the road paving works which is being implemented with the 2023-24 Union Capital Fund and 62.05 million tender winning kyats from Cho Zin Tha Company Limited and the Chief Minister instructed the needs. Continuously, Region Chief Minister and party met with the farmers, township elders and departmental staff.

At the occasion, the Chairman of Aung Kung Myat Cooperatives Society reported work implementation measures and the chief minister coordinated the needs upon the reports of farmers on regional development.

Also, the chief minister called for the increase of farmers’ job opportunities, systematic use of fertilizers and preparation for winter crop cultivation. Afterwards, region chief minister and party looked the fertilizer machines and production and instructed the needs.
