Basic foodstuff sale: Mon State CM encouraged the foodstuff sales

With the organizing of the Mon Government, under the collaboration of the Regional Development committee, Department of Consumer Affairs, Rice Millers Association, Edible oil dealers association, and departmental officials, growers and distributers are selling the basic food stuffs such as rice, edible oil, meat, fish, egg and vegetables with the reasonable prices to the public as well as in the campus of Mawlamyaing Technology University on Tuesday morning.

The basic foodstuff selling in Mawlamyaing Technology University was viewed by the Mon State Chef Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Ministers of State Government and officials, and gave necessary instructions.

On the same day, a work coordination meeting for the development of Rubber sector in Mon State was held at the Aung San Hall of State Government Office and it was attended by Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Ministers of the State Government, departmental officials, Mon State Rubber Planters and Producers Association (Mon RPPA) and other concerned officials.

At the meeting, State Chief Minister said thatover 90 percent of private small-scale rubber plantations plays as a crucial role of rubber production and involve in the list of MSMEs, and have difficulties to produce the good quality rubber for the market.

Among Myanmar's rubber growing areas, Mon State is one of the largest planting regions with 30.89% area of across the country. He also urged all to carried out in collaboration for the development and long-term sustainable of Rubber sector in Mon State since the Rubber plantation is a key role for the growth of Mon State’s GDP.

Next, Minister of Security and Border Affairs, and Minister of Economic Affairs of Mon State made discussion and suggestions to increase the volume of local rubber products and relevant sectors. Then, State Chief Minister fulfills the requirement submitted by Chairman of the Mon RPPA and Rubber entrepreneurs.
