Better Health Treatment: Specialists’s treatment under the Super Speciality Program

In order to provide timely super speciality medical treatments to the patients without costing them much, the mobile medical units comprised of specialists from Yangon,Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw have been providing medical treatments at the designated areas.

On 2ndan 3rdMarch,the mobile medical unit including professors/specialists from Yangon GeneralHospital, New Yangon General Hospital, Yangon Children Hospital, Yangon 500-bedHospital and Yangon Eye Hospital provided medical treatments to the local residents in Hinthada Township for the 2nd time together with the specialists and medical personnel from Hinthada General Hospital.

A total of 1,284 patients from 10 townships of Ayeyawaddy Region and 2 townships of Yangon and Bago Regions were provided medical treatments. Among them, 12 patients who need special treatments were transferred to respecitve general hospitals in Yangon.

The eye specialists will continue provide medical treatments untill the 11th of March at Hinthada General Hosptial. Likewise, the Department of Public Health in Hinthada Township administered Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines to a total of 65 children aged between 1 and 5 years under catch-upsystem.

Since early 2024, the super speciality mobile medical treatment program has been carried out in districts, states and regions on every weekend, and the medical units have already provided medical treatments in Taunggyi, Pyay,Thandwe, Pathein, Mawlamyine, Magwe, Myeik, Nyaung-U, Myitkyina and HinthadaTownships.
