China’s 5G users reach 851 million

According to the official statistics, by the end of February, China had a total of 1.746 billion mobile phone users, of which 851 million are 5G device users. China’s cumulative mobile internet traffic reached 48.76 billion gigabytes, of which the traffic accessed by 5G users increased by 59.8 percent year on year, accounting for 53.3 percent of the total.

Since the government first issued 5G licenses for commercial use in June 2019, China has been gradually expanding 5G internet coverage from cities to all counties and townships in the border areas.More than 3.50 million 5G base stations had been deployed across the country.
