Chinese weather scientists are utilizing domestically developed Fengyun meteorological satellites to track unusually high temperatures in southwestern Europe, with several regions experiencing readings above 30 degrees Celsius before the summer season begins.
A senior engineer at the center said that recently, the center has detected exceptionally high temperatures in southwestern Europe, notably in France and Spain. By analyzing the 850 hPa temperature data from satellites, they observed a sharp temperature rise in this region within 24 hours.
Satellites, operated by the National Satellite Meteorological Center, are essential for global weather monitoring, climate pattern analysis, disaster prevention, and environmental monitoring.
