China and Thailand close in communication on mutual visa waiver

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday that China and Thailand were in close communication on specific matters concerning mutual visa waiver for the two countries' citizens.

Both sides will also enhance people-to-people exchanges, Wang said at the press briefing. On the same day, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said Thailand and China will permanently waive visa requirements for each other's citizens from March.
