Christmas Celebration: Christians engage in prayers & expressions of gratitude

On the Christmas Day, on Monday, the 25th of December, Christians across Myanmar engaged in prayers and expressions of gratitude in alignment with their respective Christian denominations.

At the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in the Nay Pyi Taw Council area and at the Myanmar Baptist Church and various Christian congregations, the Christmas Day festivities commenced with joint prayers and praises.

Bishops and revered leaders joined the Christian community in Bible readings, prayers, and thanksgiving, fostering fellowship and enjoyment. As night fell, churches were adorned with colourful electric lights, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
