Colorful photo contest: Union Ministers awarded prizes to the winners

The award presenting ceremony for the “Beautiful Myanmar” colorful Photo contest marking the 2024 76th Anniversary of Independence Day was held at the assembly hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 18th December.

First, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn clarified the features of the colorful photo contest, a total of 175 professional and amateur photographers participated in this year’s contest with 688 photos, the photo contest is organized with the aims at publishing postcards and message cards in commemorating Independence Day using the photos captured the developments of the country, breathtaking scenic beauties, beautiful ethnic traditions and cultural heritages taken by the professional and amateur photographers.

Next, the Chairman of prize selection jury Director Bagyi Soe Moe clarified regarding with the selection of prizes.

Next, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Than Tun Oo presented the consolation prize (5) of “Beautiful Myanmar” Photo contest and consolation prize (4) to the winners, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan to winners of consolation prize (3) and (2), Union minister U Tin Oo Lwin to consolation prize (1) and third prize winner, Union Minister U maung Maung Ohn presented the second and first prizes to the winners. Then, the first prize winner U Win Toe expressed words of thanks on behalf of all winners and the documentary group photo was taken.

Afterward, the Union Minister, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Deputy Ministers, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council and officials looked the display of prize-winning photos.
