Confession of destrictive acts: AA insurgents’ hardcore supporters confessed

In the aftermath of Cyclone MOCHA, Pauktaw Township and surrounding villages in Rakhine State were returned to normalcy due to collaborative efforts by local residents, Tatmadawmen and relevant departmental staff.

To disrupt the peace and regional stability, AA armed insurgents have been intentionally launching attacks in Pauktaw Township and surrounding areas, committing destructive activities such as destroying and setting fire to people’s houses, departmental buildings and shops.

In addition, those insurgents have been recruiting hardcore supporters and deliberately disseminating false propaganda that the Tatmadaw invaded and burned down villages. The following confessions are made by 2 AA insurgents’ hardcore supporters who are natives of Manaw Thiri Village in PauktawTownship.
