Conveying ceremony: Conveyance of diamond-bud & pennant-shaped vane held

Conveying ceremony of diamond-bud and pennant-shaped vane to be hoisted atop the historical Santawshin Kyaik Kawt Ywal Pagoda was held in Ka Nyaw Village, Chaung Zon Township of Mon State on Sunday morning in the presence of Mon State Chief Minster U Aung Kyi Thein.

First, the ceremony was inaugurated with the recitation of Namo Tassa three times by members of sangha and congregation. Then, the Chief Minister and congregation took 5 precepts from Ovadacariya Ka Nyaw Monastery Presiding Sayadaw and listened to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaw.

Then, the Chief Minister and state ministers conveyed the diamond-bud and pennant-shaped vane onto three Yadana elephants and the conveyance of diamond-bud and pennant-shaped vane around Ka Nyaw Village was continued. 

It’s reported that the hoisting ceremony of diamond-bud, pennant-shaped vane, golden umbrella atop the historical Santawshin Kyaik Kawt Ywal Pagoda and the donation ceremony will be held on the Full moon day of Nataw, 27th of December.
