Death toll from Kazakhstan mine fire rises to 21

At least 21 miners died when a fire broke out at an ArcelorMittal mine fire in central Kazakhstan on Saturday. 18 patients have been admitted to hospital following a fire mine, local health official said, adding that 15 of those are being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning.
The company said the latest of several deadly accidents at the company's sites in the country. Searches are continuing for 23 miners who were among more than 200 underground when the fire struck.
