Development of agricultural sector: MoALI UM inspected the seed production farms

The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung accompanied by Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw and officials inspected the inflow water storage of Kyeenikan  Lake which have been over 700 years old and contribution of irrigation to the local agriculture in the morning on 5th February and gave the necessary instruction to the officials.

After inspecting seed producing plantation of Hsin Shwe Kyar (2) strain in Yamethin Township, the Union Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of training on the sesame seed producing and retaining seed quality held at Chaung Ma Gyi pedigree seeds farm in Pyaw Bwe Township.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister gave an opening speech followed the clarification regarding with “ Sesame Seed production development project by the Director General Dr. Ye Tint Tun of the Department of Agriculture.

Afterward, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister and officials provided Hsin Yadana-14 RS level sesame strain and air-tight seeds storage bags and the representatives of the trainees accepted. The training will take place for 3 days from 5th to 7th February and be attended by 65 trainees including 15 personnel from 9 Townships and 50 farmers.
