Drug Seizure: Over 30 billion kyats worth ICE seized in Naung Cho Township

Over 30 billion kyats worth of ICE (Methamphetamine) were seized in Naung Cho Township of Shan State (North), according to the report of the Myanmar Police Force.

A combined team, comprised of members of the Anti-Narcotic Unit, acting on a tip-off near Magyi Yay Village, searched the 12-wheeler Fuso vehicle driven from Yatsawk to Naung Cho with two individuals on board. They discovered 2,000 kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine) hidden under the paper boxes. The investigation led to the arrest of a suspect who asked to transport the drug at Yatsawk Toll Gate.

It is revealed that the seized drugs will be distributed overseas by waterway after transporting from Shan State to Ayeyawady Region. The case has been filed a lawsuit in line with the law.
