Ecuador seizes about five tons of drugs from narco sub in Galapagos

Ecuadoran military seized about five tons of drugs from a semi-submersible vessel intercepted off the coast of the Galapagos Islands.

The drugs, which were destined for Central America and the United States, and the foreigners traveling inside were handed over to the police. Ecuador has become the epicenter of drug trafficking in the Americas and its ports have become the main cocaine shuttles to the U.S. and Europe.
