Efforts for rural development: MCRD Union Minister inspected rural development works

Aiming to develop economic, health, education sectors and daily lifestyles of villagers by using moderned digital tech systems effectively, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development is implementing Smart Village projects. Among 88 villages from 15 Regions and States including Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, such projects are being implemented by establishing ICT centers in 43 villages including Thaw Hmaw Kone Model Village, Lewe Township disseminating Digital Technologies. The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by permanent secretary and officials concerned inspected those work undertakings in Thaw Hmaw Kone village on Wednesday.
Initially, the Union Minister encouraged the trainees who are attending Basic Computer Course being opened with the 2023-2024 Financial Year alloted fund of the Department of Rural Development at ICT center. Continuously, the Union Minister said that the setting up of Computer, TV, Internet Wifi, installing the public awareness applications on agriculture, livestock and health, connecting with the Educated Websites, National Library and e.commerce platform are facilitated at ICT centre so that the villagers could use free WiFi and the socio-economic life of them are getting improved obtaining the benefits of easy access to services by its relevant sectors.
Next, the Union Minister met with villagers who are working on pig farming with Rural Business Fund. There, also he observed the moderned village project works on road, drinking water, electricity, health and education and coordinated the needs.
Afterwards, at Yone Taw Village of Mwe Yo Kyaung Su villge-tract in Lewe Township, the Union Minister inspected experimental cultivation of sunflower seeds such as Yesin Hybrid strain-2 from Myanmar, Norma, Bravo, Excellent from Russia on 15 acres of land owned by Shwe Wa Htun (2) Agricultural Production and Cooperatives Limited jointly implemented with Russian Federation Roscongress Investment Fund and instructed the necessary matters.
From there, the Union Minister attended the third time Htemane Making Competition of the Ministry staff families honoring the 77th Union Day and supported their happily participation. Then, the Union Minister and officials presented honorary cash for prize winners.
