Environmental conservation: MoNREC UM inspected forest nursery and training school

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi accompanied by concerned officials visited Doe Kwin Forest Nursery in Pyin Oo Lwin Township of Mandalay Region on Sunday and inspected the nurturing of over 130,000 seedlings of 9 plant species, 60 Myanmar Rare orchid species and 20 Herbal Gamone species.  

At the brefing hall, the Union Minister heard reports on recovery of the forest coverage in Pyin Oo Lwin District, expansion of forest reserve/public reserve forest, making necessary endeavors for Pyin Oo Lwin to be popular as Cherry City, cleaning and greening of Kandawgyi National Gardens, manintenance of  Sinlan Dam watershed areas for the distribution within Pyin Oo Lwin Township.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the 13 acres monsoon plantation which were planted during 2023 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony at May Myo firewood reserve in Pyin Oo Lwin Township and provided necessary instructions.

Afterward, the Union Minister met with the trainees from Myanmar Survey Training School of Pyin Oo Lwin and encouraged them to apply the lessons they have learned during the training in their respective workplace and to become the qualified civil servants and coordinated necessities.
