Ethnic Affairs: Union Minister holds meeting at Director Office

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung held a meeting with officials and staff at the Kachin State Director Office in Myitkyina Township.

In this meeting, the Union Minister said employees need to be of high quality and high performance in accordance with their position. It is necessary to act in accordance with the law and by-law when carrying out ethnic affairs activities. TheUnion Minister also urged attendees to adhere to government ethics and to successfully implement the 5-point roadmap and 9 objectives of the State Administration Council to establish a union based on democracy and federalism.

Also, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung said the employees must complete projects set by the ministry on time and must strive to continuously improve skills. And, Kachin State Minister for Ethnic Affairs reported on undertakings by the Director Office and cooperation with the Kachin State Government.

The meeting also included general discussions and the Union Minister coordinated. After the meeting, Sky Net DTH sets and aid were presented for officials and staff from the Departmentof Ethnic Literature and Culture and the Department for the Protection of Ethnic Rights.
