Fabricated news: Misinformation on market fire spreading

Misinformation has swept through social media platforms, alleging Myoma market in Mone Town, Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region was burned down by heavy weapon attack of Tatmadaw on 20th of December.

In response to this fake news, officials from Mone Town and local informants claimed that the gas explosion at a shop in Myoma market caused the fire and a total of 210 among 238 shops of the market were caught fire. Tatmadaw never harmed the peace and stability of the nation and will always protect the lives and properties of the people.

This fabricated news is being deliberately spread to sow discord among the Tatmadaw members and the public, with the malicious intent of harming the unity and harmony within the Tatmadaw.
