The malicious media outlet “Khit Thit” is fabricating the misinformation, describing that members of Tatmadaw and police force and administrative bodies are recruiting youths including under aged children, for porter jobs at Ngwe Than Win Ward in Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region on 12th February, forcing to join one person per house.
It also claims that Tatmadaw asked for the lists of 20 young people in each ward in the Townships of Yangon Region. However, the true situation according to a responsible person from Yangon Region Government asserted that 2-Week Training on Disaster Respond Measures are being given for the local people in Thanlyin Township and no under aged ones join the training.
Similarly, rumours are spreading that over 100 people were arrested by security members in cities like Yangon, Mandalay, Monywa and Sagaing, within 4 days from the date of People’s Military Service Law enforcement. These disinformation are being spread by some of the destructive media outlets to cause panic among the public.
In order not to get anxiety and fear among the public due to the incitements of some subversive media, the Information Team of the State Administration Council is explaining what should know about the People’s Military Service Law through the State-owned Media channels. The security forces have never arrested the people unlawfully, it’s reported.
