False Information: Fake news on incident in Mawlamyine

It is found that disinformation has been spreading on social media platforms, alleging that Security forces are recruiting soldiers in Mawlamyine by arresting young people at night under the excuse of various reasons.

In response to this fake news, a security member refuted the allegation, asserting that this news is fabricated and clarified that the combined teams are carrying out security measures for the people to live peacefully. The destructive media channels are making propagations, while efforts are being made by the respective departments for the people to understand the People’s Military Service Law.
