The destructive medias spread false information regarding an alleged attack by security forces in Dingar, Sulekone, Shwe Baung and Shwe Bogyi villages in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region and Win Gyi Village, Wun Tho Township, Sagaing Region, with setting fire to the houses.

Contrary to the reports, local security officers affirmed that regional security measures operated as usual. The misinformation, attributed to illegal destructive media outlets, is seen as an attempt to sow discord between security forces and local communities, potentially causing panic among the public.

Likewise, The Ayeyarwaddy Times disseminated disinformation regarding the electricity situation in Wakhema Township, Ayeyawady Region. The outlet claimed that certain wards had alternate power supply, unfairly benefiting departmental offices and businesses.

An official response from Wakhema refuted these allegations, clarifying that regular power supply had been extended to essential services like hospitals, clinics, and schools. However, some areas did receive alternate power due to reduced generation caused by a terrorist mine explosion at power facilities.

But, no charges were imposed on individuals or businesses for the provision of regular power supply.
