False Reporting: Fabricated claims of Tatmadaw attack in Namatu

One of the illicit and misleading media outlets, Khit Thit Media, spread fake news regarding an alleged Tatmadaw attack in Namatu Township of Shan State (North). The outlet claimed that three children and two adults were injured due to an explosion from a heavy weapon launched by the Tatmadaw in Pan Haik Ward No.6 and Ihan Ward No.9 on Saturday.

However, an official from local station refuted that the Tatmadaw did not launch any attack; instead, it was the TNLA insurgents who targeted the security forces with heavy weapons, causing an explosion in residential areas. Media outlets supporting these terrorist actions propagated the fabricated news to mislead public perception.
