Final preparations underway ahead of London New Year's Eve firework display

Workers loaded tonnes of fireworks that will be used in London's New Year's Eve display onto barges as preparations for the event enter their final stages.

Five tonnes of fireworks and more than 30 tonnes of equipment are being prepared, according to Darryl Fleming, the display director of Titanium Fireworks, the company behind the event.

Nearly 12,000 individual fireworks will be set off on Sunday evening as part of the countdown to 2024. This year's show is designed to close to 12 minutes long and features an eclectic mix of music."
