Floods caused by Atlantic storm hit many parts of Europe

Due to an Atlantic storm, some countries in Europe are experiencing rain, snow and flooding.

In France, warnings were issued for Pas-de-Calais, Nord and the surrounding departments as severe weather brought torrential rain. Hundreds of people were forced to move as streets and houses were flooded.

Meanwhile, hundreds of flood warnings remained in many parts of England due to heavy rainfall in recent days. The German meteorological department expects this round of rain to continue through to the weekend, and the situation in the flood-hit areas may further worsen.
