Further Cooperation: Senior General Talks With Nepalese President

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held talks with President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bandari at M Gallery by Sofitel Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw, Thursday. On the occasion, the visiting Nepalese President expressed her congratulations to meet again the Commander-in-Chief and expressed thanks for warmly welcomes and hospitality of Myanmar.

She also said that friendship and relations between Nepal and Myanmar Tatmadaw is in progress and also witnesses that the importance role of Myanmar Tatmadaw in the nation’s development. She also expressed her hope on further cooperation between the Defence Services of the two countries in upholding peace and security as well as development tasks.

The Commander-in-Chief also said that continuation of goodwill visits of leaders of the two countries is a proof for building strong bilateral friendship.

He also reiterated that the good prospects can be seen in the current bilateral cooperation and collaboration between the two armies.

The two sides also discussed on dispatching trainees between the two armies, sports and medical cooperation, exchange of goodwill visits, prospects for boosting economy, trade and tourism through people to people relations, efforts of the two armies for perpetuation of sovereignty of the State and protecting  the life and property of people, nurturing women military officers for promoting the women’s role, Tatmadaw’s efforts for democratic reform of Myanmar and strengthening political system as well as plans for promoting bilateral friendship and more cooperation.
