Hoisting diamond-bud and vane: diamond-bud and vane atop the ancient monastic building

A grand ceremony of hoisting diamond-bud and vane atop the ancient historical teak monastic building in the compound of Maha Dhammikarama Shwe Kyin Monastery which was the donation of King Mindon was held on Sunday morning.

The ceremony was graced by the Members of the Sangha led by Secretary of Shwe Kyin sect Presiding Sayadaw of Aveyarama Yan Kin Monastery, members of Sangha from Thailand, the Chief Justice of Mandalay Region High Court, Regional Government Ministers, well-wishers and donors from Thailand as well as invited guests.

The congregation firstly conveyed the diamond-bud and vane to be hoisted atop the ancient historical teak monastic building with the ceremonial celestial guard and royal guard from the temporary sojourn of San Mai Vihara monastic building to Shwe Kyin Sangharaja Beikman as per the plans.

After inauguration the ceremony, the congregation took five precepts from the presiding Sayadaw of Aveyarama Yan Kin Monastery and offered charmed thread, charmed water, flower, scented water, the diamond-bud and vane to the Members of Sangha. And, the Members of Sangha sprinkled scented water to diamond bud and vane.

Then, the congregation offered offertories and cash donations to Members of the Sangha, took to sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of Aveyarama Yan Kin Monastery and shared the merits gained for the donations.

And, the Regional Government Ministers and well-wishers conveyed the diamond-bud and vane atop the ancient historical teak monastic building and offered day meal to the Members of the Sangha.
