Hoisting diamond bud and vane: SAC Chairman and wife attended the ceremony

The ceremonies of enshrining relics into the upper-repository, hoisting diamond bud, penant shaped vane and consecration ceremony of the Myotaw Hteikpan Mangala Pagoda erecting in the compound of Pali Takkatho Mingalazayyon monastery in Pyinmana Township of Nay Pyi Taw were held and the members of Sangha led by the Region Ovadacariya Presiding Sayadaw of Wegyi Sarthintaik Abhidhajamaharatthaguru Bhaddanta Adiccavamsa and Presiding Sayadaw of Pali Takkatho Mingalazayyon monastery Aggamahapandita Aggamahasaddhammajotikadhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi graced the ceremony.

Also present at the ceremonies were the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Council joint-secretary Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo and wife, council members and wives, Union level officials, union ministers and wives, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and wife, senior military officers from the office of commander in chief and wives, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, invited guests, members of Wut Associations and local residents. First, the congregation led by the SAC Chairman and wife observed nine precepts administered by the Pali Sayadawgyi and the lay persons offered Paritta flowers, water, thread, sand to the members of Sangha and took the Paritta Sutta recited by the members of Sangha.

Then, the lay persons brought the Paritta flowers, water, thread, sand and scattered and tied at the precinct of the pagoda. Next, the Prime Minister and wife offered Diamond bud, Penant shaped vane and religious objects to the Wegyi Sarthintaik Sayadawgyi. Also, Council joint-secretary, Council members, Union Ministers and attendees offered offertories to the members of Sangha. Next, the congregation took the sermon delivered by the Pali Sayadawgyi and shared the merits gained.

Then, the Prime Minister, wife and entourage conveyed the diamond bud, Penant shaped vane in palanquin in close-wise direction around the pagoda to the temporary place in front of Maha Mingalar Pandal.  Next, with the leading of Pali Sayadawgyi, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister took a place at the upper-repository, opened it and offered light of oil lamp.

Then, the prime minister enshrined the religious objects into the repository at the auspicious time and sprinkled with scented water. Afterward, the prime minister, wife, members, attendees and local people, at the time of auspiciousness, conveyed the diamond bud and Penant shaped vane atop the pagoda by pulling the rope attached to the fly-palanquin.

Next, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and members hoisted the diamond bud and Penant shaped vane atop the pagoda and sprinked with scented water. The officials also hoisted the golden umbrella atop the encircled stupas and the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife tossed the banknotes in commemoration of accomplishing the ceremony.

Afterward, the SAC chairman prime minister and wife offered flowers, water, candle light and lotus robe to the Buddha image resided at the south of the pagoda.  Then, the members of Sangha performed the consecration ceremony of the Myotaw Hteikpan Mangala Pagoda.

Later, the SAC Chairman and wife paid obeisance to the Mahabodhi tree and sprinkled with scented water. Then, the stone inscription of the pagoda was unvailed and sprinkled with scented water and gave nine strikes to the bell. Afterward, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister, wife and attendees offered day meal to the members and Sangha.
