Inspection of rural development: MCRC UM inspected rural development works

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with the Ayeyawaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and officials inspected the implementation for the activities of cooperatives and rural development works in the morning on 5th February.

First, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and party met with the Village Administrators, Village elders and local residents from 51 villages of 12 Village-tracts, work committee members of Village emerald green project from 14 villages, members of 8 cooperatives societies and representatives from the Department of Education and the officials concerned clarified the implementation of related sectors.

In responding to the clarifications, the Union Minister said that the Ministry is implementing the infrastructure development works, agriculture, livestock breeding and Village commodity productions in momentum under the guidance of the government to be able to increase the family income of rural population and run the agriculture, livestock breeding and small-scale commodity production.

The local farmers need to collaborate by forming cooperatives societies to emerge the commercial scale agricultural production industries.Next, the Region Chief Minister clarified the development works implemented by the region government and the reports submitted by the local people will be coordinated as fast as possible and the Union Minister and region Chief Minister fulfilled the requirements reported by the local residents.

Afterward, the Union Minister and party met with the local residents in Yay Kyaw Village, heard the clarification of the staff officer of Pathein District Department of Rural Development and explained the assistance provided by the Ministry.

Then, they inspected asphalt overlaying on Kyonku-Yaykyaw-Yaytwinkone inter-Village Road, installing pipelines for the direct to home water supply in the Village and status of agricultural works and gave necessary instruction. Later, the Union Minister, Chief Minister and party paid homage to Myat Maw Tin Sun pagoda in Hainggyikyun town, viewed the extension of pagoda platform and offered cash donation, it’s reported.
