Inspection Tour: Efforts for livestock and veterinary science

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi visited the University of Veterinary Science (Yay Zin) in Zeyarthiri Township, focusing on the preparations for the 35th Convocation and the overall educational environment.

During the visit, Dr. Aung Gyi engaged with the university's Rector and officials, emphasizing the importance of nurturing highly qualified human resources for the agriculture and livestock sector. They then inspected the lecture rooms, the mess hall, and hostels of the university.

Earlier in the day, the Deputy Minister visited the Tax-Free Market at Nay Pyi Taw Myo Ma Market, emphasizing the long-term operation of the market with a primary focus on ensuring the food safety of consumers.

The Deputy Minister later proceeded to Zee Kone Village in Pobbathiri Township, where he oversaw a poultry farm capable of producing over 80,000 viss per year. During the inspection, he instructed the implementation of bio-safety measures, the prevention of animal diseases, and the utilization of animal waste as a natural fertilizer.
